In November of 2022 I travelled to Somalila with World Vision Australia.

We captured stories of displacement and hardship brought on by the worst drought the country has faced in four decades. CEO Daniel Wordsworth shared this video we produced on new arrivals in an IDP Camp near Kaxareey.

We also visited a stabilisation centre where children on the brink of starvation were being restored to health. On the first day of our visit we met a child who was so unwell she could not eat solid food. When we returned a few days later, thanks to the efforts of those attending her, she was eating again. It was an huge relief to see her improving. It’s thanks to places like these that children like her have a chance.
